AnninetForces policy

Post by Admin on Fri Feb 27, 2015 12:05 pm

Hey team,

Here are a few things we hopefully agree on, if not, get in touch ...

* we are glad to have people from all over the world but in our chat we speak english
* we are polite and supportive, bullying/swearing is not tolerated
* if anything goes wrong whatever it is, tell us preferably in this forum or in the chat
* we use this forum and check for important news or pm once per week, officers twice a week (preferably daily) otherwise we risk to being kicked without knowing why
* When we kick people, we leave a short message in the chat, so that people know why. Kicking is transparent!
* kicking due to lack of intel comes without warning. we all know the rules.
* Kicking due to not having attacked twice in failed ops comes without warning.
* nobody will be kicked just because a higher level player is asking to join! If intel/attacking attendance and your behaviour are ok, you are safe.
* nobody will be kicked because an attack goes wrong. But if you make the same errors over and over again, you might be.
* you might be kicked if you keep ignoring the notes that officers left, though. There is one exception to that, please read extra thread below.
* At op start wait 20 min for officers to place base notes. Do not attack in the first 20min!
* we always attack with all our landing crafts filled, no empty spots there. Not sending troops.. don't do it twice Smile
* before we attack we read the last lines of the chat, we watch the last attack on that base and we tell in chat we are about to attack and very briefly how (intended targets, flank etc) and wait for some 30secs. Thus opening up to debate and bringing forth a much more cohesive teamforce.
* we never retreat (apart from left over medics or tactical retreats (definition below) ). every shot counts. If you retreat twice (without an explanation) you may be kicked.
* sabotating is dealt with in a separate post, see below.
* first come first served. Anyone can attack at any time. But we follow the chat/notes if there are hints
* we make a least <intelcut> intel per week or we can be kicked. The "intel cut" is on saturdays at 15 utc.The intel cut is <your xp> - 10. so a level 45 player needs 35 intel by saturday 15utc.
* we dont kick more than 3 people! If more than 3 people miss the cut the three lowest vp people are kicked. Everyone else gets a warning (in the chat or pm) and has to make half the cut by wednesday 15utc.
* we don't miss 2 attacks in a week (when your attack was needed!) without telling anyone or we can be kicked. We are keeping track on attacking attendance https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x161FqZyCFWtI1q5AhZ54yOecVdLX4BhSrbzrEaipLQ/edit#gid=0
* if you miss 4 attacks in a row, you are out
* If we haven't attacked 30min before mission end and then the mission gets accomplished by someone, we are considered to have missed our attack at all! This way the TF can identify unreliable attackers even if we successfully finish the op.
* to make this very clear: the former attack rule does not apply when we finish the job earlier than 30min before timeout! only when we not finish the job OR finish within the last 30min.
* having problems getting intel, holiday or being sick .. tell officers here or in the chat and leave a calendar entryin the forum.
* every officer can start a mission
* for a good structure, is does not make sense to end up having 50 officers. 12 (max) should do.
* new officers are elected by old officers and the leader. To become an officer, dont ask for it but contribute in intel, missions and posts. a high vp/xp does not make you officer automatically!
* We enter away times in the corresponding forum and also enter the time, we will be offline. make sure you make a proper calendar entry, not just a forum post.
* If officers do whatever would make a normal member being kicked, they are demoted but not kicked. After things have been sorted out, they might be promoted again.
* If you are attacking, we expect that after your attack you check the chat for 2 minutes for a TF feedback. This is important for general communication
* we expect you to show up in the chat at least twice per week for a minute. we don't want silent members.
* we start our OP at 21 utc sharp.
* we expect new players who just signed up to say hello in the chat. if after 24hrs there is no sign of life, no intel, no forum, no chat and the player is not linked to anyone else, every officer can kick him.
* this policy aims at making our TF work more transparent. It does not aim at increasing pressure on anyone. If you feel like that, please get in touch with an officer or me.

cheers,
Bernd

comments:
the 4 days in a row rule (see above) was written to prevent people from letting others do the work and saving gold and troops. if you really find 4 days in a row logging on and the job is done pm any officer or leader and you wont be booted, of course.

definition : tactical retreats

Post by Admin on Thu Mar 19, 2015 9:58 am

TACTICAL RETREAT

When you are NOT under enemy fire and go for green cells to gain GBE AND the main part of your attack is over, you might retreat your left over troops.
This only applies when you shot so many artillery/barage already that the costs for a new shot are too high. So you can leave the green cells for the next attacker to select, so that he can use the GBE instead of you.

Please do consider that weaker players can shoot more often, but cause less damage. I (Bernd) don't want to see tactical retreats too often Smile

If this rule leads to wild discussions in the TF it is to be deleted again.

NOT OBEYING BASE NOTES

as said above we all are expected to follow the base notes left by officers. They aim at attacking only one base at a time and all following the same route through the map, to make our attack most efficient.

But "common sense" is always allowed and might lead the attacker to the decision not to follow the base note on a single attack. If you have a good reason not to follow the base note, do so and leave a comment in the corresponding mission thread in our forum! You will of course not be kicked if you ignore a base note for a reason.

two examples:

  • The base note says "do not attack" or is obviously outdated. In that case attack at will, if officers did not update notes, it is not your fault. Please do not hold back your attack!!! In doubt attack.
  • The base note says "flank left" you have tanks loaded and on the left there are cannons while on the right there are splash damage defences. don't sacrifice your tanks just because the base notes tell you so. Rather go for the other side, collect GBE and use GBE to attack main defences on the map OR you build troops (HOOKA, Riflemen, Warrios) and go left ..

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO LEAVE A COMMENT, THOUGH. THE CHAT FORGETS, THE FORUM DOES NOT Smile

idea: intel cut formula depending on current op

Post by Admin on Thu Apr 09, 2015 10:09 am

Dear TF,
instead of doing a intel cut poll every month i have a better idea. If you don't like it, post it here, otherwise i reckon you like the idea Smile

The intel cut is derived from the op we are doing.

Here is the math:

sour grapes costs us 270 intel. We want to do it daily, so we need 270*7=1890 intel per week devided by 50 this is 37.8 rounded 38 intel per week per person.
So the MEAN INTEL VALUE per person to do sour grapes daily is 38. My approach is that the cut should be 40% of the mean value (because of now we are doing fine with a 10 intel cut and the majority wants 14 intel per week) that would be 15,2 intel so say 15 intel (rounded)

with this caculation we do not need any intel cut poll anymore

Mambo: 240 intel = 13 intel cut
Sour Grapes : 270 intel = 15 intel cut
...
Dead ENd : 552 intel = 31 intel cut
and so on.

I think, this will do for the future.
Please respond if you don't like it and please say why Smile

* we make a least <intelcut> intel per week or we can be kicked. The "intel cut" is on saturdays at 18utc. The intel cut depends on the OP we are doing. See http://anninetforces.forumieren.com/t183-idea-intel-cut-formula-depending-on-current-op for details. If we switch to a higher/lower op within a week, the intel cut is changed on sunday and stay the same for the rest of the week.

Endlesscon complained he wasnt warned before kicking. I think we cannot afford having talking to people for 2 days because we kick em. So i added the following:

* In terms of intel - when members are likely to fail the intel cut - we officers start asking for people likely to be kicked 24 hrs before. If people miss 2 attacks, they can be kicked anytime though.

sabotaging. If we hit 1000 intel, we waste intel. So sabotaging is encouraged if:

we have more than 700 intel at around 12 utc (9 hours to op start)
we have more than 800 intel at around 15 utc (6 hours to op start)
we have more than 900 intel at around 18 utc (3 hours to op start)
